The course was well-marked and clean, with lots of rocks and roots to watch out for. The hill leading up to the aid station was a killer; it seemed to get steeper and longer as the race went on. I loved the challenge!

Despite logging my first DNF, I had a great day! I got caught up in the race day excitement and went out too hard at the start. I had a blast and learned some lessons from this race. I will definitely be back next year!

Spaulding Woods 50K is set in a beautiful area and if you want a challenging course - this is it! I highly recommend this race; amazing volunteers, stocked aid station, benefits a great resource for children and the best, most helpful and encouraging race director. Looking forward to next year!

This course was just fun, and I found myself smiling a lot throughout the day as I enjoyed the trails. The aid station was well-stocked, and the volunteers were friendly, always checking in to see if they could help whenever I came around. I will definitely look to be back.

Although I didn't finish, I had a great time and met some wonderful people. Everything was very well organized, the trails were perfectly marked, the aid station was great, and the volunteers were wonderful.
